What class do I choose?

  • Beginner Skaters ages 3-5 years old should start in Snowplow 1
  • Beginner Skaters 6 years and older should start in Basic 1
  • If your skater has some skating experience and is able to skate on their own, they should register for Level 2 based on their age. (Snowplow 2 ages 3-5, Basic 2 ages 6 and up)

What do i wear?

  • Skaters should come dressed in Winter clothes for skating lessons--long pants, jacket, gloves, and hat
  • ALL Skaters Snowplow 1-4 and Basic 1 are REQUIRED to wear a helmet on the ice. This can be a bike, hockey, lacrosse, or baseball helmet
  • Long socks are recommended for skaters.
  • ALL skaters in Intro to Hockey must have a caged helmet

  • Pre Free Skate - Freeskate 3
  • Colonial Accelerated Program
    This class is for skaters in Freeskate 4-Freeskate 6. Skaters will have an hour lesson each with the first 30 minutes focusing on edge work and skating skills. The second half will be curriculum from each Freeskate level. SKATERS MUST PASS FREESKATE 3 before taking this class. (CAP will be held on Wednesdays, September 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, October 1st, 8th 5:30-6:30 PM)

Our program follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum.
Skaters will receive a 30 minute lesson each week and will be evaluated on the last day of the session and will be given a report card.
