Tom grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and developed his love for hockey playing at Tarken Ice Arena. Since 2022, he has been an integral part of the Royals coaching staff, helping players grow their skills and passion for the game. In his new role, Tom is excited to introduce hockey to new players and build a recreational program that every child will want to be a part of. His goal is to create a fun, welcoming environment where players of all levels can learn, improve, and love the game.

Josh is entering his fourth season as part of the Philadelphia Revolution coaching staff. Josh has previously been the head coach for the Revolution 2013 AAA team the last three seasons, and served as Co-head coach for the Revolution 2010 AAA team the last two seasons. During his playing career he has spent time at the youth level with multiple originations including Team Comcast and the Philadelphia Revolution. Josh is a proud alumni of Revolution where he grew as a player from U16 AAA to Junior A in the EHL. Josh spent his Junior career on the East Coast , playing for multiple organizations. Coach Josh is dedicated to developing and advancing the youth hockey community. Additionally, he strives to help his players grow into great people on and off the ice, by teaching accountability, work ethic, discipline, and leadership skills.

Mike has been actively involved in coaching at all levels of the game, from Learn to Play programs to high school hockey. His passion for player development and his ability to work with athletes of all ages have made him a respected figure in the hockey community. Throughout his career, he has helped foster skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game, ensuring that players are prepared for the next level of competition.In addition to his hockey expertise, Mike has an extensive business background that enhances his leadership in program development and operations. His experience in management and strategic planning enables him to create a structured, high-quality hockey environment for players, coaches, and families alike. With a combination of hockey knowledge, coaching experience, and business acumen, Mike Ilg is committed to leading the Royals program and providing opportunities for young athletes to succeed both on and off the ice.

Larry served as General Manager at Vacaville Ice Sports for 12 years, where he oversaw all aspects of rink and hockey operations. Most recently, he managed all amateur hockey for the Florida Panthers at both the Baptist Health Iceplex and their new training facility and the Panthers IceDen. Over the years, Larry has held leadership positions with many youth hockey programs some of his former programs include La Jolla Jaguars, San Diego Jr Gulls, Vacaville Jets, Golden State Elite and Florida Jr Panthers. Larry’s tenure with San Jose Jr Sharks led to 2 National Championship appearances winning a silver and a bronze medal.

Kara has been skating since this age of 3 & has been part of the Colonial Skating Club for the past 20 years. She is a USFS Gold Medalist in Skating Skills, Pre Gold in Dance & has competed in many competitions over the years in freestyle. She has been a Silver & Bronze Medalist at Keystone State Games & a Gold Medalist at Philadelphia Areas Championship. Kara works with skaters from beginner to adult including our hockey Tier 1 teams & players. She was involved with the development of the Colonial Accelerated Program & Hockey Initiative Classes as well as our figure skating camps & clinics. As skate director she has facilitated all of our Learn to Skate Programs & freestyle sessions helping our rink achieve being ranked #7 and #3 in the state over the last 2 years. She is a member of USFS, PSA & earned a degree in psychology. Kara also organizes and oversees birthday parties & events at our facility.
