Summer Strength & Skills Development Camp

This brand-new development camp prepares hockey players to compete at the highest levels for the Winter Hockey season. Our special combination of on and off ice training will enable participants to strengthen all the right behaviors for excellence on the ice.

Age Breakout

Group 1: 2007 birth years & younger (Elementary & Middle School)

Group 2: 2006 birth years & older (High School & College)

Lead Instructor - Artem Gumenyuk

Artem Gumenyuk is originally from Kharkov, Ukraine. He will be entering his third season as the Power Skating Consultant and his fifth year with the organization. He played soccer and hockey in his youth before being selected for his local hockey club. Coach Gumenyuk was a member of both the U18 and U20 Ukrainian National teams at the World Championships. His U20 Ukrainian National team finished in 2nd place at the 2008 IIHF World U20 Championship in Denmark. He was also a scholarship recipient and a star defenseman for Division I South Kent Prep School in Connecticut and led the team to a 4th place finish in the Prep School league during the 2006-2007 season. Artem was a second All-Tournament Team Selection at the Beantown Classic Tournament in Boston, MA in 2006 as well.

While earning his B.A. in Finance, Artem played four years as a starting defenseman at Manhattanville College in New York playing NCAA Division III hockey. He was twice selected to the ECAC West All-Academic Team. Artem also led the team in plus-minus for two seasons and led the team in goals by a defenseman once. He was one of five Valiants to play in all 26 games as a senior. He signed an ECHL tryout agreement in separate seasons with the Reading Royals and Elmira Jackals.

Artem’s coaching experience includes Assistant Coach for his alma mater's men's ice hockey program - Manhattanville College, Philadelphia Revolution, Junior A Power Skating Consultant, and private coaching.
